INTRODUCING

Are you feeling truly buggered?

I’m not just talking about your body. I mean all of you—your heart, your mind, your whole being.

The first thing you do when you wake up is check your phone. The endless pings, the mountain of to-dos, and that constant pressure to keep up.

The harder you try to get things sorted and find a bit of stability, the more your mind starts to race. If you're feeling the pinch, it's not because you aren't trying hard enough. You’re just bloody exhausted. You’ve been going so hard that you haven't even noticed how drained you are.

✔ Your brain won’t switch off, even when you’re trying to catch some shut-eye.

✔ You’re bottling things up and don't know how to let it out.

✔ You’re feeling flat from dealing with people and social expectations.

✔ You want to make a change but don't know where to start.

Look, you’re not alone. Most of us are in the same boat in this day and age.
But right now, you’ve got a chance—a real go at reclaiming your "true inner peace."

What is "Taigu Dojo"?

A hands-on training ground to reconnect your Mind and Body.

This isn't just another lecture. It’s not about sitting back and listening to theories. It’s a workshop where you’ll experience real, lasting change—carved into your being through your own physical body.

What you’ll walk away with after this one day:

  • Stillness: Techniques to slow down your racing thoughts.

  • Release: How to deeply relax your body right to its core.

  • Clarity: Staying sharp and clear-headed, even under the pump.

  • Harmony: A healthy way to navigate your emotions and relationships.

  • Grounding: The physical wisdom to rebuild your inner stability.

None of this is mere theory. These are "live experiences" you will feel and embody on the spot.

Why are we all so buggered these days?

It’s not just because our to-do lists are too long. It’s because we’ve spent all our time living in our heads (thinking), and we’ve forgotten how to live through our bodies.

When your brain is spinning at a million miles an hour and your body isn't grounded, your mind becomes a mess. Emotions start to pile up like silt. Life starts to feel heavier and harder than it needs to be.

Real change doesn’t come from cramming more knowledge into your head. It starts with one thing: stabilising your physical self.

2,500 years of wisdom, redesigned for the modern world.

Taigu Dojo was founded by Taigu Gensho, a Japanese Zen Master. But he isn’t your typical monk—he brings a powerhouse of professional experience from many walks of life.

  • Martial Artist: Years of disciplined training and physical wisdom.

  • Bodywork & Therapy Specialist: Practical skills in aligning the mind and body.

  • Educator: A proven leader in fostering personal growth and change.

  • Digital Communicator: Founder of a YouTube channel with over 760,000 subscribers, built on a massive track record of real-world dialogue.

Through his work with countless individuals, he noticed a fundamental truth:

"Many people possess a wealth of knowledge, yet they are still suffering. The cause isn't ignorance—it’s a lack of 'Physical Strength' (Body Intelligence) to support their own mind."

To bridge this gap, he transformed ancient wisdom into a training method that modern people can use immediately in their everyday lives.

This isn't a religion. It’s not just a theory. It is a concrete set of skills to cultivate the ability to live with more flexibility and inner stability.

  • You don't just want to "wish" for change anymore—you’re ready to take action.

If that sounds like you, then this one day could be a turning point.

Real change isn’t about trying harder. It’s about becoming more "grounded."

Before you hit a wall. Before your body screams "enough." Give yourself the gift of just one day to find your way back to who you really are.

One last thing...

Chances are, you’ve been working your heart out. It’s not that you haven't tried hard enough. It’s simply that no one ever showed you the practical, concrete ways to live without all that suffering.

I’m looking forward to meeting you here in Melbourne.

How to Live Brightly and Boldly in a World of Chaos

Modern society is facing unprecedented distortion. We see a rapidly widening wealth gap, a relentless flood of technology swallowing our lives, and organisations plagued by low productivity and chronic burnout. Locked to our desks all day, we lead lives that are "abnormal" for any living creature. Both our minds and bodies have reached their absolute breaking point.

Why do we need the teachings of Buddha now? The Buddha never taught us to live weakly. He taught us to live this one-and-only life with confidence, brightness, and joy.

It is about seeing through the true nature of economy and technology—not to be tossed around by the systems of the world, but to create value ourselves and live in harmony with society. The concrete blueprint for this way of life is right here.

The Futility of Trying to Fix Only the Mind

Alongside being a monk, I have worked as a therapist, treating the bodies of over 50,000 people. I am also an entrepreneur who has built multiple businesses. Through these experiences, I have come to one undeniable conclusion: The mind and body are inseparable.

Many come to Zen meditation wanting to "look into their soul," yet within five minutes, they either nod off or wince from pain in their knees or back. The modern body is utterly exhausted under the sheer weight of constant thought and emotion.

If your knees ache, you cannot focus on meditation. If your body is in disrepair, a heart of compassion cannot flourish. Trying to fix the mind through "willpower" alone is like trying to build a house on a hollow foundation.

This is why I have added "Syo-tai" (Correcting the Body) to the traditional teachings of the Eightfold Path. Only when you care for and realign your physical self can the mind become still and true wisdom begin to work.

I know this because I have faced severe injuries, their long-term effects, and the turbulent storms of running businesses. A life and a leadership grounded in Buddhist principles is the only "guiding light" that will sustain you in an uncertain future.

Through our practice at Taigu Dojo, let us take a bright step forward together as independent, resilient human beings.

大愚元勝(Taigu Gensho)Profile

Abbot of Fukugen-ji Temple (Heart of Buddha) / Chairman of the Jiko Group

The monastic name "Taigu" literally translates to "Great Fool"—referring to one who has reached a state of ultimate freedom, unattached to worldly conventions. A man of many facets—Monk, Entrepreneur, Therapist, and Karateka—Taigu embodies the philosophy of being "neither purely monastic nor purely secular."

Raised as a disciple at Fukugen-ji, a Zen temple in Komaki, Japan, with over 540 years of history, his journey began early. He started learning sutras at age three, assisted at his first funeral at five, and was ordained at ten. However, the pressure of being "the temple kid," combined with rigid traditions and a strict master, led him to rebel and leave the temple behind.

At 32, driven by a desire to manifest compassion through action, he stepped into the business world. He successfully launched and scaled multiple ventures. Through this, he realised that employee training is, at its heart, human education. On the cusp of turning 40, he decided to return to his roots. After handing over his businesses to his successors, he embarked on a journey through 23 countries—retracing the path of Buddhism from India to Japan—to redefine the role of temples and monks in the modern age.

In 2015, he was inaugurated as the 31st Abbot of Fukugen-ji. In 2019, he founded the "Heart of Buddha" returning to the core of Buddhism: cultivating compassion, wisdom, and the Buddha-nature. He broke traditional norms by relaunching the temple as a membership-based community.

Today, beyond his duties as Abbot, he is dedicated to training the next generation of monks. He leads the "Busshin Monastic Academy," an online platform for applying Buddhist wisdom to daily life; "Taigu Dojo," a hands-on workshop for experiencing Buddhism through the body; and the "Busshin Management Mandala," a program developing future business leaders with a balance of spirit, technique, and physical health.

Looking ahead, he is pioneering the "Temple Town Project" as a model to revitalise rural temples facing Japan's aging population. His vision of "building beautiful, thriving temple communities" centered on personal growth and purpose has garnered significant interest from business leaders worldwide.

His YouTube program, "Abbot Taigu’s Q&A," which began after he helped a young girl struggling with self-harm and eating disorders, has grown into a massive platform with over 760,000 subscribers, continuing to offer guidance to people across the globe.
